Sanaa: A cultural seminar was held on Wednesday in Ma'in district of the Sanaa capital to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The event was organized under the slogan 'Never Shall We Accept Humiliation.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar featured Khalid al-Madani, the first deputy governor of the province, who emphasized the religious and educational significance of marking Ashura. He highlighted its association with values such as honor, dignity, steadfastness, and resistance to oppression, alongside adherence to Islamic principles.
Al-Madani spoke about the legacy of Karbala as an enduring struggle between truth and falsehood. He underscored the importance of strengthening public awareness and learning from the life and uprising of Imam Hussein as a means of confronting global domination and injustice.
He also urged active participation in ongoing mobilization training programs to enhance preparedness at all levels. This call to action aligns with directives attributed to the leadership, aimed at addressing current challenges and supporting national objectives.
Al-Madani further stressed the significance of commemorating the occasion and promoting values associated with Imam Hussein, focusing on strengthening religious identity and cultural awareness.
