Cultural Seminar Marks Anniversary of Imam Ali’s Martyrdom in Ibb

Sana'a: The local authority and mobilization in Ibb Governorate organized a cultural seminar today, commemorating the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Ali bin Abi Talib (peace be upon him), under the slogan "By the Lord of the Kaaba, you have succeeded." The seminar was attended by the Governor of the Governorate, Abdulwahid Salah, along with several of the Governor's deputies, and directors of executive offices and districts.

According to Yemen News Agency, the seminar addressed three key topics, focusing on the biography of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), his support for Islam, the values of justice and truth he promoted, and the lessons derived from his life and jihad in elevating the word of God. Abdul Fattah Ghallab, the Governorate Mobilization Official, discussed the reasons behind Imam Ali's martyrdom and the circumstances surrounding this significant event in the history of the Islamic nation.

Ghallab highlighted that Imam Ali's martyrdom was a consequence of his unwavering stance against deviation and injustice, and his commitment to justice and truth. He emphasized that Imam Ali's leadership serves as a model of governance rooted in Islamic principles, which can inspire contemporary societies to strengthen their connection to justice and dignity.

Mohammed Al-Muayyad, addressing the second topic, spoke about Imam Ali's status in the Holy Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah, citing texts that underline his virtues and esteemed position in Islam. He stated that Imam Ali is recognized for his knowledge, courage, wisdom, and justice, presenting his life as a comprehensive school of faith and leadership.

Al-Muayyad asserted that reflecting on Imam Ali's biography enhances religious and cultural awareness, deepening society's understanding of Islam's principles. In the third segment, Mohammed Murshid explored Imam Ali's birth and upbringing, highlighting the educational and faith-driven aspects of his life under the Prophet's care.

Murshid explained that this upbringing shaped Imam Ali's distinguished character, marked by knowledge, wisdom, and courage. He noted that Imam Ali exemplified a faithful person who combined worship, knowledge, and jihad, and that his life offers valuable lessons in sacrifice and steadfastness for future generations.
