Cultural & Tourism Sectors Hold Event in Sana’a to Mark Prophet’s Birthday

Sana'a: The Culture and Tourism sectors of the Capital Secretariat held a commemorative event marking the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him and his family. At the event, Deputy Mayor of Sana'a Ali Al-Lahji emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday to recall the Prophet's life, emulate his noble character, principles, and values based on goodness, justice, and mercy.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Lahji explained that commemorating the occasion goes beyond ceremonial celebrations, reflecting love for and attachment to the Messenger of Allah and reinforcing adherence to the Holy Quran and the Prophetic approach in all aspects of life. He described the occasion as a spiritual opportunity to draw lessons from the Prophet's life and strengthen a sense of responsibility, discipline, and excellence in carrying out duties and serving society.

Cultural activist Dr. Abdulkarim Jubhan highlighted that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a significant occasion to recall the Prophet's life, the values, and principles he upheld. He noted that the occasion comes amid the challenges facing the Muslim nation, underscoring the need to return to the Prophetic approach, adhere to the Holy Quran, Islamic teachings, and reinforce the values of steadfastness, patience, solidarity, and responsibility.

Jubhan called for broad participation and a large turnout at the central celebration marking the Prophet's birthday, to be held at Al-Sabeen Square next Tuesday, 12 Rabi' al-Awwal.
