Sanaa: The Tax and Customs Authority will begin granting exemptions from customs duties to owners of distressed vehicles tomorrow, Saturday, in implementation of the directives of the Leader of the Revolution, Sayyid Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the occasion of the Prophet's birthday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the acting head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, explained that the Authority, through customs committees, has completed all procedures to begin granting customs exemptions starting tomorrow.
He stated that the exemptions will cover 281 vehicles of various types, relieving them from all customs duties and traffic violations. These vehicles must meet specific criteria, including being detained for more than six months, as stipulated by regulations.
Mahdi emphasized that the Authority is committed to providing facilities to citizens and ensuring the immediate implementation of the Leader's directive. He urged owners of eligible vehicles to report to the customs committees tomorrow to obtain their exemptions and retrieve their vehicles, provided they have the necessary supporting documents.
