Hajjah: Hajjah undersecretary for Agricultural Affairs Ibrahim Amer on Monday launched the distribution and training project for dairy inputs, agricultural production, and fodder preservation tools in Najrah district in Hajjah province.
According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative is implemented by Sada Foundation for Construction and Development in coordination with local authorities and the agricultural sector, supporting 375 beneficiaries under the Rural Resilience 3 Joint Program for Livelihoods, Food Security, and Climate Adaptation in Yemen.
Amer emphasized the project's significance in promoting local dairy production, reducing reliance on imports, and enhancing food self-sufficiency through value chain development. District Director Kamal al-Sufi commended the project's alignment with national efforts to support local products and urged the completion of the dairy lab building.
Sada Foundation Chairman Walid al-Ali underscored the project's impact on improving living conditions. It benefits 120 small producers, 40 large producers, 15 dairy centers, 20 recipients of crop treatment kits, 20 fodder preservation kits, and 150 recipients of agricultural crop kits.
Officials also inspected "al-Aman Dairy Lab" operated by the foundation, where they were briefed on the production of yogurt, laban, and cheese, as well as milk testing processes and feed distribution to boost dairy output. They also reviewed the operation of fodder shredders, presses, and grain mills for cattle feeding.
