Sana'a: A meeting in Sana'a, chaired by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Water Resources, Dr. Radwan Al-Ruba'i, discussed the mechanism for preparing and implementing a national program aimed at developing and improving agricultural and fisheries extension services.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the program's objectives, components, expected outcomes, and the implementation mechanism. Minister Al-Ruba'i emphasized the significance of establishing an executive mechanism for the program in coordination with relevant entities. This initiative aims to enhance and develop awareness among farmers and fishermen regarding proper practices, thereby leading to increased economic returns and production.
He stressed the necessity of activating and improving agricultural and fisheries extension services to raise awareness among farmers and fishermen. This initiative is expected to contribute to higher production levels in the agricultural and fisheries sectors, strengthening their role in achieving food security and moving toward self-sufficiency.
