Shura Council Condemns Saudi Allegations Against Yemen

Sana'a:The Shura Council has strongly condemned Saudi Arabia's allegations that Yemen targeted sites and facilities in Medina. The Council referred to these claims as blatant falsehoods and described them as an unprecedented demonstration of political and moral bankruptcy. According to Yemen News Agency, The statement released by the Council on Friday indicated that these allegations are seen as desperate attempts by Saudi Arabia to mislead both Muslim and international public opinion. The Council accuses Saudi Arabia of trying to conceal its own failures and crimes, as well as its ongoing blockade of the Yemeni people. Yemen and its armed forces, according to the statement, are committed to defending Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic holy sites while supporting Palestinians. The Council emphasized that Yemen would not target holy sites or civilian facilities in the lands of the Two Holy Mosques. The Shura Council also highlighted Yemen's commitment to protecting and preserving Islamic holy sites. It criticized t he use of Medina and Mecca's names in what it termed fabricated media claims, viewing it as a cynical exploitation of religious sanctities. Muslims, scholars, and people worldwide were urged by the Council to verify information and reject rumors. The statement noted that Yemeni armed forces focus on what it describes as legitimate military targets, acting in response to Saudi actions and in defense of Yemen's sovereignty, security, and independence.
