Sanaa: The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdul-Wahid Abu Ras, engaged in a video conference meeting with Hans Grundberg, the UN Special Envoy for Yemen. During the meeting, Abu Ras addressed several key issues concerning Yemen's current situation.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister discussed recent operations by the Yemeni armed forces in certain districts along the West Coast. He emphasized that the situation remains stable and that the Yemeni government is actively working to manage the humanitarian challenges in these areas. Furthermore, Abu Ras assured that maritime navigation is secure, clarifying that the existing ban is limited to Saudi shipping and was imposed before recent developments.
Abu Ras reiterated Sanaa's commitment to achieving a just peace and resolving the aggression and blockade that have affected Yemen. He stressed that resolving the humanitarian issues is crucial for addressing other challenges, and criticized the Saudi regime's lack of engagement with Sanaa's peace initiatives as a contributing factor to the current situation. He also expressed Sanaa's support for the UN Special Envoy's efforts in promoting peace in Yemen.
