Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras has publicly refuted the recent statement by Hans Grundberg, the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy to Yemen, concerning military intervention to address perceived American and Israeli aggression in the region.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister, in a letter addressed to Hans Grundberg, clarified that Yemen's military actions are aimed at countering what he describes as a Zionist scheme to establish a "Greater Israel," which he claims is being pursued under the pretext of "changing the Middle East."

Abu Ras firmly stated that the UN envoy has overstepped by commenting on Yemen's internal affairs and sovereign decisions. He underscored that decisions related to war and peace are intrinsic sovereign rights of states, highlighting that external parties should not interfere in these matters.
