Sanaa: The Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Abdulwahid Abu Ras has raised serious concerns over the ongoing situation in occupied Palestine. He highlighted that the Israeli actions, which include killings, arrests, house demolitions, and land annexation, are being carried out with the backing of the United States, the complicity of European nations, and a lack of response from Arab and Islamic states.
According to Yemen News Agency, Abu Ras stated that international charters and laws are being ignored amid the destruction in occupied Palestine. He called out the so-called international community and humanitarian organizations for their inaction while these events unfold.
Abu Ras was particularly critical of certain Arab regimes, notably Saudi Arabia, accusing them of exacerbating regional conflicts that aid the Zionist agenda. He argued that Saudi policies are contributing to crises across the region, from Yemen to Somalia, diverting focus away from the Palestinian cause.
He emphasized that Saudi Arabia's financial backing often aligns with Zionist ambitions, urging the kingdom to redirect its efforts against Israel instead. Abu Ras claimed that Saudi actions often aim to embroil potential supporters of Palestine in internal conflicts, thereby distracting them from the Palestinian issue.
In his closing remarks, Abu Ras reaffirmed the importance of the Palestinian cause, stating it remains a primary concern for Yemen, despite Saudi attempts to destabilize the country.
