Deputy Foreign Minister Discusses Enhanced Cooperation with MSF Swiss in Yemen

Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Aburas met with Konstantinos Psikakou, Deputy Country Director of Doctors Without Borders Swiss, on Sunday. The meeting was also attended by the organization's head of mission in Yemen, Aynur Apsimitova, where discussions focused on enhancing cooperation between Yemen and the organization.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister praised the significant role played by the Doctors Without Borders Switzerland mission in Yemen within the humanitarian and medical fields. He highlighted the need for intensified efforts to address the current challenges faced by the health sector due to ongoing aggression, blockades, and hostile policies directed toward Yemen.

Abu Ras expressed the government's readiness to provide all necessary facilities to support the Doctors Without Borders Switzerland mission in Yemen and its staff, ensuring they can effectively carry out their humanitarian activities.

In response, the Deputy Country Program Director and the Head of Doctors Without Borders Switzerland outlined the organization's ongoing activities and projects across several governorates. They reiterated their commitment to continuing to deliver humanitarian and health support to the Yemeni population, aiming to ease their hardships.
