Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras met on Thursday, via video conference, with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Yevgeny Kudrov. During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments on the national, regional, and international scenes.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed Yemen's appreciation for Russia's balanced positions in the Security Council regarding the Yemeni file and other regional issues. He reiterated Yemen's determination to end the aggression, occupation, and blockade that has continued since March 26, 2015, in order to end the suffering of the Yemeni people and secure their legitimate rights to a dignified life and to live in peace.
For his part, the Russian Ambassador affirmed his country's support for efforts aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen and alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.
