Deputy Foreign Minister Engages with Russian Ambassador on Yemeni Affairs

Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahab Abu Ras commended Russia for its balanced stance in the Security Council regarding Yemen and other regional issues. This statement was made during a virtual meeting with the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Yevgeny Kudrov, where they discussed the latest developments in the Yemeni situation.

According to Yemen News Agency, Abu Ras highlighted that the recent military operations by the Yemeni Armed Forces were conducted to restore stability and have successfully achieved their objectives. He emphasized that the situation in the region remains stable.

The Deputy Foreign Minister also accused the Saudi regime of attempting to mislead the international community about the reality in Yemen. He reiterated Sana'a's dedication to ensuring the safety of international navigation and expressed the government's commitment to achieving a just and sustainable peace for the Yemeni people, aligning with their aspirations and alleviating their suffering.

The Russian Ambassador reiterated his country's support for de-escalation efforts and the pursuit of peace in Yemen, aiming to mitigate the humanitarian challenges faced by the Yemeni population.
