Standards Authority Director Launches Specialized Food Safety Management Systems Program

Sana'a: Executive Director of the Yemeni Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control Abdullah Al-Atifi launched a specialized training program on food safety management systems, with the participation of 30 employees from local facilities and factories.

According to Yemen News Agency, the program is organized by the Authority's Training and Qualification Center and spans six days. It aims to strengthen participants' knowledge and skills in the theoretical and practical requirements of food safety management systems, helping improve the quality and safety of food products and ensuring compliance with standards.

Al-Atifi emphasized the Authority's commitment to expanding specialized training programs to support the industrial sector and enhance the quality and safety of national products. He highlighted the significance of local facilities benefiting from such programs to improve production systems, enhance quality, boost competitiveness, protect consumers, and increase confidence in local products.

He further noted that supporting national products involves more than just encouraging local production; it includes ensuring their quality, safety, and compliance with standards. The Authority, he mentioned, provides technical support and training to help local facilities and factories improve their products and performance.

The six-day program, led by Hussein Ali Zaabel, the Authority's quality consultant, covers both theoretical and practical aspects of food safety management systems and their application in local facilities.
