Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister and Expatriates Abdulwahid Abu Ras praised the Islamic Republic of Iran for breaking the blockade imposed on Sana'a International Airport, describing the step as deeply appreciated by the Yemeni people. He emphasized that this reflects the strong fraternal ties between the two countries and their peoples.
According to Yemen News Agency, Abu Ras stated: "Today, Yemen's skies witnessed two contrasting scenes. The first was a civilian aircraft carrying patients, wounded people, humanitarian cases, and official delegations. The second was warplanes carrying bombs, missiles to kill Yemenis and destroy infrastructure and civilian facilities. The Yemeni people will clearly understand these two messages and shape their future positions accordingly."
He further remarked that the day's events demonstrated Yemen's steadfastness, resilience, military capability, and high combat readiness. This marks the beginning of a new phase of reclaiming rights, confronting Saudi aggression, lifting the blockade, and deterring further attacks.
Abu Ras asserted that the Saudi regime should realize that today's Yemen is stronger than ever, and that the suffering of the Yemeni people must come to an end, irrespective of the cost or the scale of developments.
He concluded by renewing the Yemeni people's appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran for its humanitarian initiative and support in breaking the blockade on Sana'a International Airport, facilitating the transport of patients, wounded, and stranded civilians during these exceptional circumstances faced by the Islamic nation.
