Deputy Foreign Minister Welcomes Russian Ambassador’s Efforts in Yemen Peace Initiative

Sana'a: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Abdulwahab Abu Ras welcomed the efforts exerted by the Russian Ambassador to Yemen, Yevgeny Kudrov, to achieve peace in Yemen.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that Sana'a has responded positively to all efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving peace in Yemen. These initiatives are intended to meet the legitimate rights of the Yemeni people while preserving the nation's sovereignty and independence. Abu Ras criticized the actions of the Saudi regime, accusing it of targeting the Yemeni people with bombs, missiles, and various weapons, as well as imposing sieges and starvation.

He reiterated that the demands of the Yemeni people are realistic and rightful. These demands include lifting the siege, halting military mobilizations, and ending all hostile activities. Such actions would create a conducive environment for discussions and the development of sustainable solutions to the ongoing conflict.

Abu Ras concluded by emphasizing that as long as the Saudi regime continues to view Yemen as a territory under its control and occupation, acting unilaterally and confiscating the rights and resources of its people, the prospects for peaceful solutions remain distant.
