Sana'a: Minister of Information Dr. Omar al-Bukhaiti has engaged in discussions with the program directors of al-Masirah Channel, Mohsen al-Shami, and al-Sahat Channel, Mohammed al-Qa'idi, focusing on enhancing the channels' coverage of development and service activities, as well as community initiatives.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Yahya Humaid, the Minister of Information's Advisor for Radio and Television Affairs. The discussions centered on the channels' plans and activities to intensify media coverage of community initiatives, which play an active role in local development, particularly in agriculture, roads, and other community-serving projects.
The meeting reviewed the media policies of al-Masirah and al-Sahat channels, emphasizing their roles within the Ministry's media policy framework. This framework aims to fortify the community's support for the state's efforts in implementing sustainable service and development projects, designed to alleviate the citizens' suffering caused by over a decade of aggression and blockade.
During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Information underscored the significance of al-Masirah and al-Sahat channels in addressing developmental issues and supporting community initiatives. The channels' programming and event coverage in Sana'a and other governorates are crucial during Yemen's current phase, which demands coordinated media efforts and community mobilization to address the country's challenges.
