Sanaa: Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Nabiha Nasser, today inspected the damage sustained by the General Football Association headquarters at Al-Thawra Sports City due to the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the visit, he was accompanied by the Assistant Minister for the Sports Sector, Dr. Kamal Al-Sharif, project managers Engineer Ahmed Al-Tuwaiti, and federation officials Wael Al-Qurashi and club official Taha Taj Al-Din. They reviewed maintenance and restoration requirements and assessed the necessary repairs.
The Deputy Minister held a meeting with the leadership and members of the General Football Association, including administrative and technical teams, attended by board members Ahmed Al-Sharafi and Labeeb Mahdi, and the heads of the Competitions and Referees Committees, Dr. Abu Ali Ghaleb and Ahmed Qaed Saif.
The meeting discussed the federation's situation, future plans to advance football activities, and ways to enhance coordination between the ministry and the association to develop national football.
The Deputy Minister welcomed the return of the football team to their headquarters and the resumption of their administrative and technical duties in the building, stressing the ministry's commitment to supporting the association's efforts to develop the sport.
Additionally, he visited the Balqees Club for Women and Children and its affiliated investment projects, directing legal specialists to review investment contracts and ensure compliance with agreements made with the ministry, emphasizing the importance of activating sports investment and improving its efficiency to optimize the use of the assets and properties of the youth and sports sector.
