Dhamar: The rehabilitation project of the health center building in the Hasn Qadeed area was launched on Thursday in Mayfa’a Ans District, Dhamar Governorate, with a budget of 22 thousand dollars. The project is supported by UNICEF and implemented by the branch of the General Authority for Rural Water Projects.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the opening ceremony, Dr. Tariq Al-Khaiwani, the Director of the Health Sector in the Governorate, expressed appreciation for the efforts made by the Rural Water Projects Authority branch in completing the project. He highlighted the sector’s commitment to equipping the center with necessary medicines, equipment, medical supplies, and qualified personnel.
Eng. Mohammed Al-Qawsi, the Director of the Authority’s branch, explained that the renovation is part of a broader water, sanitation, and hygiene services rehabilitation project funded by UNICEF. This initiative targets 20 health facilities across various districts in the governorate.
Abdullah Al-Jarashi, the Director of the district, commended the collective efforts of all parties involved in completing and operating the center, which serves approximately 19,000 people in the lower Al-Jarsha district and its neighboring areas.
The opening event was attended by Mujahid Al-Amdi, the Deputy Director of the Rural Water Projects Authority branch, along with several health officials.
