Dhamar: An expanded meeting of the education sector in Dhamar Directorate, chaired by Governor Mohammed Al-Bakhiti, discussed today the remedial program for male and female students preparing for the basic and secondary school certificates. The meeting, which included leaders of the education sector in the governorate and directorate, as well as representatives from public and private basic and secondary schools, reviewed the mechanism for implementing the electronic testing activity for high-achieving students in all schools, and the preparation for the general basic and secondary school certificate exams.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Bakhiti emphasized the importance of the remedial program, which includes a number of activities, including electronic tests for students preparing for the two certificates. These tests are being implemented by Al-Thulaya School for Technology and Applied Sciences under the supervision of the local authority and the governorate’s education office. He pointed out that the program is part of the efforts of the local authority and the education sector leadership to develop education in the governorate. These efforts began with the establishment of the model school, “Al-Thulaya School for Technology and Applied Sciences,” the adoption of programming as a core subject, work on curriculum development, and the establishment of a training center and a model school for female students.
He stressed the importance of coordinating efforts related to education and developing the educational process with the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research and other relevant bodies, to ensure the success of the overall education development process in Yemen. The governor discussed the experiences of model education in several countries and the mechanism for implementing the enrichment program and improving educational outcomes. He emphasized the political leadership and local authority’s commitment to supporting public education and strengthening partnerships with private education.
He urged everyone to redouble their efforts to ensure the success of the Ramadan program and to prepare for the secondary school leaving certificate exams and summer courses. He commended the efforts of the education sector leadership and staff in maintaining the educational process. For their part, the governorate’s education sector officials, Mohammed Al-Hadi and Ali Sharik, emphasized the importance of the enrichment program for students in the basic and secondary school leaving certificate programs, the importance of supporting high-achieving students, and the development of education.
