Dhamar Hosts Event Honoring Ashura and Imam Hussein’s Martyrdom

Dhamar: The Cleaning and Improvement Fund in Dhamar organized a speech event on Wednesday to commemorate Ashura and the martyrdom of Imam Hussein ibn Ali.

According to Yemen News Agency, the event was attended by Adel Omar, Acting Director of the Cleaning and Improvement Fund, where Abdulghani al-Salami highlighted the significance of Imam Hussein's martyrdom. He described it as an important occasion for reflecting on values like sacrifice, steadfastness, and justice.

Al-Salami noted that Imam Hussein exemplified patience and commitment to principles, urging the nation to learn from his revolution. He emphasized that Hussein's legacy offers valuable lessons for confronting oppression and tyranny today.

Abdullah Mishrah also spoke during the event, describing Ashura as a spiritual occasion that provides lessons of dignity and resistance. Mishrah emphasized the enduring relevance of the values upheld by Imam Hussein and his companions, which serve as a model for confronting injustice and supporting the oppressed.

Mishrah further explained that the event of Karbala offers profound lessons, particularly regarding standing for truth and defending the dignity and sacred values of the nation. He highlighted that Imam Hussein's rise was out of responsibility to confront injustice, not for power, underscoring the sacrifices made by the Prophet's family to uphold truth and justice.
