Dhamar: The Education Sector in Dhamar District organized a speech event on Thursday to commemorate the anniversary of Prophet Mohammed's birth and honor the top-performing students nationwide in the general basic and secondary school certificate examinations for the 1447 AH academic year. Dhamar Governor Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti addressed the gathering, highlighting Yemen's commitment to celebrating the Prophet's birthday despite ongoing challenges.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Bukhaiti emphasized Yemen's historical ties to the Prophet and announced the launch of a technology localization project by the local authority. This initiative aims to develop education and build human resources for future technological advancement. The project includes four main tracks: qualifying computer science graduates, training outstanding secondary school graduates, developing technological skills among students from seventh grade through the final year of secondary school, and establishing a comprehensive educational platform for students at various educational levels.
The governor assured that the local authority would support students during their training and university studies based on their academic excellence. He congratulated the district's outstanding students and praised the Education Sector for organizing the event.
Deputy Head of the Education Sector in Dhamar District Khaled Al-Qahtani reiterated Yemen's steadfastness and emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday. He highlighted that the occasion reflects Yemenis' love for the Prophet and their connection to his legacy.
Al-Qahtani also noted that 51 top students from schools in the district were honored during the event, including 12 students in the secondary certificate examinations and 39 in the basic certificate examinations. The event saw the attendance of Dhamar District Director Mohammed Al-Saiqal.
