Dhamar: The Environmental Health Department in Dhamar province on Monday launched a comprehensive awareness campaign targeting food and service establishments in Dhamar City. The campaign is designed to combat acute watery diarrhea by raising awareness, ensuring health compliance, and enhancing oversight.
According to Yemen News Agency, Public Works Director Eng. Moadh al-Shawkani stated that the initiative follows an emergency meeting focused on disease control. As part of the campaign, inspection teams will be deployed to monitor violations and educate establishment owners on the importance of hygiene and food safety.
Environmental Health Director Dr. Ezzedine al-Jarmouzi emphasized the need for cooperation among stakeholders to protect public health. The campaign is seen as a crucial step in preventing the spread of diarrhea in the community.
