Dhamar:The Public Telecommunications Corporation and General Authority for Post and Postal Savings branches in Dhamar organized an event on Monday to celebrate the 12th anniversary of the September 21 Revolution.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dhamar Deputy Governor Mahmoud Al-Jubain emphasized the revolution's role in ending foreign control over Yemen. He noted that current challenges aim to undermine the revolution's achievements and reinstate foreign influence in Yemen's affairs.
Hassan Al-Dailami, director of the Public Telecommunications Corporation branch manager's office, described the revolution as a pivotal moment that initiated political, social, and economic changes in Yemen. He stated that the anniversary serves as a reminder of the Yemeni people's perseverance against efforts to weaken and exploit the nation.
Al-Dailami further explained that the revolution sought to establish Yemen's sovereignty and independence by reducing foreign dependency and enhancing local resources, including agriculture and food security.
Cultural activist Mohammed Rizq remarked that the revolution restored Yemen's autonomy in decision-making. He added that celebrating this event fosters national unity and loyalty.
The commemoration also included a poem by Ali Al-Gharbani, which underscored the significance of the revolution.
