Sanaa:As the Yemeni people commemorate the 12th anniversary of the 21 September Revolution, Amanat al-Asimah has unveiled service and development projects valued at over 56 billion and 63 million riyals. These projects, totaling 1,474, mark a significant advancement in infrastructure and community economic development, aligning with the local authority's strategic priorities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the projects span various sectors, with notable achievements in roads, water, sanitation, education, and health. The capital Sanaa has seen the completion of 1,246 projects costing 29 billion and 264 million riyals. These include 90 road projects, which encompass the construction and maintenance of bridges, paving, and drainage systems.
The projects also emphasize community involvement and empowerment, with 924 community initiatives completed at a cost of over seven billion and 136 million riyals. These initiatives include infrastructure improvements and support for educational and health sectors.
In addition to completed projects, Amanat al-Asimah has launched 164 new projects totaling 14 billion and 648 million riyals, covering roads, public works, and social services. Ongoing projects are valued at 12 billion and 150 million riyals and focus on critical sectors such as water, sanitation, and energy.
Mayor Dr. Hammoud Abbad highlighted the projects as a testament to the revolutionary leadership's directives and the resilience of the Yemeni people, aiming to enhance citizen services and contribute to sustainable development despite ongoing challenges.
