Dhamar Water Corporation Staff Enhance Skills Through Civil Defense Training

Dhamar: The Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in Dhamar province has initiated a three-day training session for its personnel in civil defense and rescue. The training is conducted in collaboration with the Civil Defense Authority and the Yemeni Red Crescent.

According to Yemen News Agency, the training focuses on equipping employees with necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in areas such as firefighting, first aid, emergency response, and the safeguarding of documents and assets. Abdulghani al-Mukhtar, director of the corporation, emphasized that this course is a component of a larger emergency preparedness initiative designed to bolster institutional capacity in managing risks and crises.

Colonel Mujahid al-Asadi, a Civil Defense official, pointed out the necessity of extending such training to broader segments of society, particularly those working in the service sector. This expansion aims to improve readiness for dealing with fires, evacuations, and rescue operations. He noted that these skills are vital for minimizing human and material losses and ensuring efficient responses during emergencies.
