Sanaa: The Public Authority for Insurance and Pensions began on Sunday disbursing the second half of the September 2021 pension for civil retirees.
According to Yemen News Agency, the head of the Authority, Ibrahim Al-Haifi, stated that the disbursement process is being implemented under the exceptional temporary mechanism to support the state employees' wage bill, in accordance with Law No. (2) of 1446 AH. This mechanism ensures regular pension payments through 12 disbursement cycles per year.
He emphasized that this step is the result of intensive efforts and continuous coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development. This collaboration aims to ensure the regular continuation of pension payments within the framework of the Government of Change and Construction, which prioritizes retirees in acknowledgment of their long service and contributions to the country.
Al-Haifi urged retirees and beneficiaries' representatives to visit post offices with the required documents to facilitate the receipt of their pensions.
He also expressed gratitude for the cooperation of the relevant authorities, particularly highlighting the role of the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Hisham Ismail. He acknowledged the contributions of the staff of the Authority, the Ministries of Civil Service and Finance, the Central Bank, and the Postal Savings Authority, which were instrumental in the success of the disbursement process.
