Tehran: A delegation from the Republic of Yemen participated on Sunday in the funeral procession for the martyred Supreme Leader, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and performed the funeral prayer in the Iranian capital, Tehran. The unprecedented official and popular attendance reflected the high esteem in which the martyr is held by the Iranian people and the Muslim world.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Yemeni delegation affirmed that Iran and the Muslim world have lost, with the martyrdom of Imam Ali Khamenei, a leader who dedicated his life to serving Islam and defending the causes of the Muslim world, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. The delegation noted that the martyrdom of Imam Khamenei will only strengthen the Iranian people's adherence to the principles of the revolution and their continued resistance against the forces of arrogance and hegemony, as well as their defense of the causes of the Muslim world.
The delegation further indicated that the millions participating in the funeral procession conveyed messages and symbols affirming unity of purpose and stance, and that the Islamic Republic will continue on the same path, regardless of the challenges.
