Al-Mahwit Hosts Massive Women’s Festival to Celebrate Prophet’s Birthday

Al-mahwit: Al-Mahwit governorate witnessed a massive women's festival on Tuesday, organized by the Women's Sector of the Governorate's Women's Authority, to celebrate the Prophet Muhammad's birthday (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

According to Yemen News Agency, women flocked to the Women's Sector of the government complex from various districts of the city, Al Rujm, Al Khabt, and Jabal Al Mahwit, in a scene that reflected the level of popular participation and interest in commemorating this religious occasion and embodying the joy of celebrating the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him and his family).

The participants in the festival raised banners expressing their joy and celebration of the occasion, and chanted slogans affirming their deep connection to the Prophet Muhammad, their commitment to following his example and teachings, and their adherence to the values and principles he brought. They reiterated that commemorating the Prophet's birthday is a spiritual and educational milestone for drawing lessons and inspiration from the life of the noble Prophet.

The speeches delivered at the festival emphasized the importance of commemorating the Prophet's birthday in a way that strengthens awareness of the life of the greatest Prophet, reinforces the values of brotherhood, compassion, and social solidarity, and enhances the sense of responsibility among Yemeni women in serving their community and engaging with the issues facing the nation.

The occasion was considered an opportunity to cultivate the values of patience, steadfastness, and faith in God, and to draw inspiration from the noble Prophet's great stances in confronting the forces of falsehood, upholding the truth, and defending the nation's causes amidst the events and challenges facing the region.

The participants renewed their mandate to the leader of the revolution to take the positions and decisions he deems appropriate to confront the challenges, defend Yemen and its interests, and support the Palestinian people and their just cause.

The women praised the operations carried out by the Yemeni Armed Forces as an expression of Yemen's support for the Palestinian people, affirming their continued popular support for the just causes of the nation and commending the contributions of the Yemeni people in this regard.

The speeches emphasized that Yemeni women embody their love for the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) by commemorating his birth, adhering to his morals and teachings, and emulating his stances in supporting the truth. They noted that Yemenis were among the first to support the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and will remain committed to the values and principles of Islam, defending the causes of the nation.

They also stressed the importance of using this occasion to strengthen social cohesion, unify efforts to confront challenges, focus on the family, raise future generations on love and emulation of the Prophet, and instill the values of honesty, kindness, altruism, and solidarity among members of society.

The festival included a number of chanting and poetry segments, songs, operettas, and expressive performances, as well as listening to a speech by the leader of the revolution, Sayyed Abdumalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Prophet's birth.
