Sana'a: The Economic Empowerment Team in Sana'a Governorate, under the leadership of Governor Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, convened a meeting today to discuss the outcomes of economic empowerment projects identified across the sub-districts.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting focused on projects aimed at expanding sheep and goat breeding and fattening, dairy production and its derivatives, as well as the development of beekeeping and honey production. Small-scale industrial initiatives were also reviewed as part of the economic empowerment strategy.

The participants discussed the role of multi-purpose agricultural cooperative associations and other relevant entities in the successful implementation of these projects. Emphasis was placed on the importance of reviewing and refining studies related to economic empowerment projects, ensuring alignment with value chains while considering the specific conditions of each area and its target beneficiaries.

Governor Al-Hadi underscored the necessity of taking practical steps to implement the economic empowerment initiative. He stressed the importance of building the capacity of targeted families to improve their living standards and enable them to work and produce independently. This approach aims to support local production and enhance food security.

He further noted the local authority's commitment to helping beneficiary families achieve a level of productivity that would enable them to break free from the cycle of unemployment and poverty.
