Sanaa: The subcommittee for summer activities and courses in the Capital Secretariat organized an expanded meeting to discuss the work mechanism and technical regulations governing the central sports tournaments for summer course students for the year 1447 AH, under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad."
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Deputy Minister of Education for the Education Sector at the Ministry of Education, Teaching, and Scientific Research, Hadi Ammar, who reviewed the implementation plans and technical controls for organizing and holding sports competitions. The focus was on ensuring the expansion of student participation and the development of youth's physical and mental skills.
During the meeting, Abdul Qader Al-Mahdi, the Head of the Education Sector and Deputy Head of the subcommittee in the Capital Secretariat, emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to ensure the success of sports activities. He highlighted that these tournaments aim to embody the slogan by building a strong generation armed with awareness, faith, and high physical abilities.
Abdullah Obaid, the Director of the Youth and Sports Office in the Secretariat, reviewed the technical aspects related to the central tournaments. He discussed the nature of sports competitions and their governing regulations, and the mechanism for selecting participating teams based on sports qualifiers organized in neighborhoods across the various districts of the Secretariat.
