Sana'a: A meeting of the organizing committees for the Fourth Scientific Conference and National Exhibition on Renewable Energy 2026 approved a set of implementation procedures to accelerate preparations for the event. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy and Water and President of the conference, Adel Bader.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, held at Sana'a University, brought together the Acting Minister of Economy, Industry and Investment and Vice President of the conference, Sam Al-Bashiri; the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity for the Electricity Sector and Head of the Executive Preparatory Committee, Eng. Ahmed Al-Mutawakkil; the President of Sana'a University, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti; and the President of the Federation of Yemeni Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Second Vice President of the conference, Mohammed Salah. The participants reviewed the preliminary designs for the exhibition site, assigned the scientific committee to prepare working papers, and secured the necessary financial allocations.
The meeting also approved granting the head of the preparatory committee additional responsibilities to complete organizational and technical arrangements, stressing the importance of strengthening coordination among various committees and working in a team spirit to ensure the successful organization of a conference and exhibition that enhances Yemen's scientific standing, supports sustainable development, and promotes research and investment in clean energy projects.
The conference president emphasized the need to intensify efforts and adhere to the timeline for completing committee tasks, highlighting the growing focus on the renewable energy sector and its potential to open new horizons for investment and scientific research in this vital field.
For his part, the President of Sana'a University praised the efforts of the committees in ensuring the success of the conference and exhibition, affirming that the university will deploy its academic and research expertise to support this national event, in line with its role in promoting scientific research and linking its outcomes to development issues and societal needs.
