Muscat: The Tender Committee at Ibb University discussed on Saturday the technical and financial studies for a number of infrastructure projects included in the university's project matrix and approved for funding by the Central Unit for Emergency Development Interventions. The meeting, chaired by University President Dr. Nasr Al-Hujaili and attended by Secretary-General Abdulmalik Al-Saqqaf, his deputies Nabil Al-Warafi and Mujeeb Al-Buraihi, and Director of Engineering Affairs Ahmed Mayas, reviewed plans to develop laboratories, classrooms, and educational facilities in line with the university's priorities and actual needs.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Hujaili stressed the importance of completing the technical and administrative procedures for the approved projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and optimal use of available resources. He noted that improving infrastructure and educational facilities is essential to advancing the university's academic and practical programs. He also emphasized the importance of completing the projects according to the approved timelines and technical specifications, while strengthening monitoring and oversight throughout implementation.
Following the meeting, the university president signed a contract for the supply, implementation, and installation of floor-, wall-, and central-mounted laboratory benches and suspended cabinets for two laboratories, as well as the installation of steel and frosted-glass partitions for the Clinical Skills Laboratory at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. Dr. Al-Hujaili stressed that the implementing contractor must adhere to the technical specifications and standards stipulated in the contract and complete the project within the approved timeframe to ensure the laboratory is ready to support practical training for medical and health sciences students.
