Al dhale'e: The Acting Governor of Al Dhale'e, Abdul Latif Al-Shaghdari, discussed in a meeting today with the representative of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society in the province, Ahmed Obaidil, the society's interventions in the province, especially in the water and dam sector.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the Director of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation in the province, Ahmed Al-Halqabi, reviewed what has been accomplished in the sanitation project on the western ring road of Damt city, the difficulties facing its completion, and the possibility of Red Cross and Red Crescent intervention to complete this project, as well as funding the Wadi Binaa barrier project in Damt and other projects.
During the meeting, the Acting Governor highlighted the efforts of the Yemeni Red Crescent Society and its interventions in the province, affirming the importance of coordination between various relevant authorities in the water sector with the society in implementing water projects, foremost of which are sanitation projects.
He affirmed the local authority's keenness to facilitate the society's tasks and remove any difficulties facing the implementation of its interventions, directing the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation to quickly prepare a study of the sanitation networks that drain into Wadi Binaa in Damt, develop appropriate treatments for them, and begin implementing the water barrier project in the valley.
In turn, the Red Crescent representative in the province reviewed the society's plan regarding funding a number of projects in the province according to its available capabilities, including the water barrier project for Wadi Binaa in Damt.
