Bayda: Governor Abdullah Idris inspected the ongoing road maintenance and repair project in Bayda city, which has a budget of 35 million riyals, funded by the Dutch government. The initiative aims to enhance infrastructure and improve transportation within the city.
According to Yemen News Agency, the governor received a briefing from Engineer Khalid al-Qaf'i, Director of the Public Works Office in the governorate, detailing the progress of the project. The maintenance includes asphalt repairs across 4,100 square meters of city streets and the completion of the water network, with the project currently being 40 percent finished.
Governor Idris reiterated the commitment of the local authority to enhance services for citizens and alleviate their challenges. He highlighted that the asphalt and paving works, as well as the rehabilitation of main and secondary roads, are part of a broader development initiative outlined in the governorate's plan.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to engineering specifications and completing the project within the specified timeframe. The governor also acknowledged the Social Fund for Development's role in executing numerous priority projects across various districts of the governorate.
