Ibb: The Security Committee in Ibb Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdulwahid Salah, discussed the plan to secure the celebrations marking the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday for the year 1447 AH. The meeting included the Governorate's Police Chief, Brigadier General Hadi Al-Kohlani, along with leaders of security units and agencies in the governorate, who reviewed the main elements of the security plan to safeguard celebration venues and events.
According to Yemen News Agency, the discussions covered measures such as strengthening protection procedures, increasing security deployment at checkpoints, streets, and entrances leading to the celebration sites, removing abandoned vehicles from roads to ease traffic flow, and organizing the entry and exit of participants at the venues.
Governor Salah stressed that this year's celebrations of the Prophet's birthday, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, are expected to witness greater momentum and turnout, requiring security bodies to intensify efforts to ensure safe and orderly access for the large crowds. He emphasized the importance of coordination among all security agencies and units to implement the plan, regulate traffic and crowd movement, and ensure the success of the events.
He also called for raising readiness and vigilance, as well as preparing the central squares for the celebrations, praising the efforts of the security bodies in this regard. For his part, the Governorate's Police Chief outlined the security arrangements for the celebrations, highlighting the efforts to decorate security facilities and headquarters, and to organize preparatory events leading up to the central festivities in the governorate.
