Sana'a: A tribal mediation successfully, on Wednesday, resolved a murder case between the Al-Rubaid family of the Nahm tribes in Sana'a Governorate and Al-Sharaabi family of the Sharaab tribes in Taiz Governorate. The reconciliation was conducted under the supervision of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council, Field Marshal Mahdi Al-Mashat, Council Member Mubarak Al-Mashan, and Chief of General Staff Major General Mohamed Al-Ghamari.
According to Yemen News Agency, the reconciliation was led by Sheikh Mohamed Al-Zalab, head of the Central Committee for Settling Vendetta Cases, along with Sheikhs Ahmed Al-Humairi, Abdullah Al-Ward, Salman Bin Awfan, Ali Al-Manbhi, Ahmed Al-Sharaabi, and Adnan Abu Lahoom. During the ceremony, the heirs of the victim, Ali Mohamed Al-Sharaabi, announced their pardon for the perpetrators-Jahm, Wissam, Mohamed, and Ali Naji Ali Rubaid-for the sake of God and in honor of the attendees.
The event, attended by Member of Parliament Ali Al-Manbhi, saw Sheikh Al-Zalab and Sheikh Al-Humairi praise the heirs' decision to forgive the perpetrators, close the case, and settle the matter in accordance with the directives of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Badreddin Al-Houthi, regarding the resolution of revenge cases. They also commended the efforts of all who contributed to bridging differences and resolving the dispute amid the exceptional circumstances Yemen and the people of Gaza are facing due to aggression and siege by the forces of hegemony led by the U.S., Israel, and the U.K., along with their instruments.
Sheikhs Al-Zalab and Al-Humairi called on everyone to prioritize national interests, deny opportunities to the aggressors aiming to fuel conflicts, and work toward unifying ranks to confront the challenges facing Yemen. They further praised the Sharaab tribes for forgiving Al-Rubaid family for the sake of God, reflecting the noble values and generosity of Yemen's authentic tribes in general, and the tribes of Taiz and Sharaab in particular.
The heirs of Al-Sharaabi family affirmed that their pardon and withdrawal from the case were part of promoting a culture of tolerance amid ongoing aggression and siege. Present sheikhs at the reconciliation expressed their appreciation for the heirs' stance, emphasizing the embodiment of Yemeni tribal values and traditions and their response to the call of the Revolution Leader, Sayyid Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, to unite ranks and thwart the plans of the aggressors.
