Sanaa: The Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, met today with the Director General of the Traffic Police, Maj. Gen. Dr. Bakil Al-Barashi, to discuss ways to strengthen coordination for completing the registration procedures for imported vehicles and the facilitations granted to citizens to help them finalize their transactions before the deadline.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, Dr. Mahdi reaffirmed the Tax and Customs Authority's commitment to maintaining close coordination with the General Department of Traffic and providing all possible facilitations to enable citizens to complete vehicle registration procedures within the specified timeframe. He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among all relevant agencies to ensure the success of the process.
For his part, Traffic Police Director Maj. Gen. Al-Barashi urged citizens and concerned parties to take advantage of the facilitations offered for imported vehicles and complete the registration process before the deadline to avoid any future legal consequences.
The meeting, the officials reviewed the progress of the vehicle registration process across various provinces, the level of implementation, and measures to enhance coordination between the Authority and the General Department of Traffic to expedite procedures and provide the necessary facilitations in accordance with applicable regulations.
Discussions also covered several issues of mutual interest, particularly the organization of vehicle registration procedures and the development of coordination and data-linking mechanisms between the two sides to improve operational efficiency and ensure smoother services for citizens.
