Discussion on Improving Services & Regulating Tourism Activity in Al-Hodeidah

Al-hodeidah: An official meeting was held on Sunday in Al-Hodeidah Governorate, chaired by Governor Abdullah Atiyfi, to discuss mechanisms for organizing tourism activities and ways to enhance services provided in this vital sector.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included the Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Mohammed Al-Nahari, Security Director Major General Aziz Al-Jaradi, and Director of the Culture and Tourism Office Asad Basha. They reviewed the current status of tourism activity and the requirements related to its organization and development.

The discussions also focused on procedures for regulating tourism establishments, mechanisms for improving services, and strengthening compliance with governing regulations. The aim is to enhance service quality and improve tourism performance in the governorate.

Governor Atiyfi emphasized the importance of integrating the efforts of relevant authorities to regulate tourism activity and provide an enabling environment. This approach is expected to contribute to improving the performance of tourism establishments and enhancing the quality of services offered to visitors, in line with the governorate's rich tourism potential.

He described the tourism sector as an important economic contributor that requires effective coordination among concerned entities to ensure disciplined performance, improve service efficiency, and encourage tourism investment.

The participants stressed the importance of strengthening partnerships between official bodies and the tourism sector, intensifying monitoring and coordination efforts, and working according to a unified vision aimed at developing tourism activity and improving service quality across various tourism establishments.

The meeting concluded with a set of implementation measures aimed at organizing tourism activity, raising institutional performance efficiency, and activating coordination among relevant stakeholders to support the development of the tourism sector in the governorate.
