Sana'a: A meeting was held on Sunday at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Sana'a, chaired by the University President, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, to discuss the mechanism for developing and updating graduate programs at the Faculty of Medicine, enhancing the efficiency of their academic and research outcomes.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Muhammad Al-Shahari, the Vice Deans for Academic Affairs and Graduate Studies, the Clinical and Hospital Affairs, Student Affairs, Quality Affairs, members of the Accreditation Committee, and the team for updating graduate program descriptions. The focus was on updating graduate program curricula according to clear scientific references and nationally and internationally recognized quality standards.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti emphasized the University's commitment to supporting the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences in its developmental efforts, contributing to the advancement of scientific content and the enhancement of research and innovation skills. He pointed out that the current stage requires the integration of roles and teamwork to ensure improved program quality and achieve educational outcomes capable of competing at the local and regional levels.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti stressed the importance of elevating research performance, activating the role of accreditation and continuous evaluation committees, and building the capacities of faculty members and teaching assistants, which would reflect positively on students' performance and the quality of educational services provided.
For his part, the Dean of the Faculty affirmed the commitment to implementing the directives of the University Presidency and working according to a defined timeline to complete the updating of graduate program curricula. This process involves active participation from academic departments and accreditation committees, thereby enhancing program quality and elevating academic and research performance within the faculty.
