Sana'a: The Scientific Committee of the Fourth International Palestine Conference, operating under the theme "Palestine is the Central Cause of the Nation," convened its second meeting in Sana'a. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Abdulrahim Al-Hamran, who leads the Preparatory Committee for the conference.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as Dr. Ahmed Al-Arami, the Deputy Head of the Preparatory Committee; Dr. Arafat Al-Rumaima, the Head of the Scientific Committee; Abdulaziz Abu Talib, the Head of the International Relations Committee; and other members of the Scientific Committee. The focus of the discussion was on the necessary arrangements for the conference, which is scheduled to take place during the holy month.
The meeting began with the attendees reciting Al-Fatiha in remembrance of the martyrs of the nation and Jerusalem, acknowledging the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people in their struggle. Dr. Al-Hamran expressed gratitude for the efforts of all committees involved in the conference preparations, emphasizing that the work is progressing swiftly to meet the scheduled date.
Dr. Al-Hamran highlighted the significance of the conference being held on the last Friday of Ramadan, coinciding with International Quds Day. He noted that this event symbolizes Yemen's solidarity with the Palestinian cause and support for Gaza. He also emphasized Yemen's commitment to supporting the oppressed, drawing on a faith-based identity established by the late leader Sayyed Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi.
The committee reviewed various themes and reports, including previous meeting minutes and procedural steps completed thus far. Detailed reports from the "Preparatory, Scientific, and International Relations" committees were presented, focusing on the reception of scientific research and communications with international participants.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the technical preparations for a documents exhibition, which aims to highlight the historical Palestinian rights and the challenges faced by its unarmed populace. Plans were also made to draft the conference's final statement, taking into account current Palestinian and regional developments.
The attendees underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to ensure the conference reflects the Palestinian cause's significance to the Yemeni people while also fostering global awareness regarding Jerusalem's central role in the Arab and Islamic consciousness.
