Sa'ada: The Board of Directors of the Executive Unit for Financing Agricultural and Fisheries Projects and Initiatives in Sa'ada Governorate convened on Sunday, led by Governor Mohammed Awad, to evaluate the progress of ongoing projects by the Unit.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing agricultural development efforts, activating initiatives within the governorate, and addressing the challenges and obstacles faced by the Unit and the agricultural sector. Discussions also covered the Unit's financial activities, including expenditures and revenues.
The board reviewed a proposal from the Bonyan Foundation concerning the creation and registration of 12 new associations across various districts within the governorate. During the meeting, which was also attended by the Governorate's Deputy for Environment and Improvement Affairs, Mohammed Al-Badani, Governor Awad called for increased efforts to complete agricultural projects effectively. He emphasized the importance of optimizing available resources, working collaboratively and responsibly, and aligning expenditures with established plans.
Governor Awad expressed his commitment to collaborating with the agricultural sector to address its challenges and implement plans that yield visible results for the citizens. Executive Director of the Unit, Engineer Zakaria Al-Mutawakkil, highlighted the coordination efforts with relevant entities to facilitate work through developmental associations, tailored to the resources available in each district.
The meeting concluded with several decisions aimed at fostering agricultural and livestock development in the governorate, leveraging community initiatives and agricultural associations at the district level.
