Sana'a: The Council of Scientific and Research Centers at Sana'a University, in its meeting today chaired by the University President, Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti, discussed ways to enhance performance, improve the efficiency of the centers, and raise the quality of education and scientific research.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, attended by the university's vice presidents, their assistants, and the directors of the centers, reviewed the report submitted by the Center for Development and Quality Assurance on the evaluation of postgraduate programs, aiming to advance the level of education and research.
The council approved the formation of a committee to update the Scientific and Research Centers' Guide and agreed to prepare for the convening of the first scientific conference for the centers.
The council emphasized the need to develop postgraduate programs in accordance with quality standards and academic accreditation, strengthen integration between the centers and faculties, and require centers to submit periodic reports on academic and research performance.
A mechanism was also approved to encourage scientific publishing and applied research linked to community and development needs, expand research partnerships with local and international institutions, and improve administrative and financial efficiency to ensure the sustainability of the centers.
During the meeting, the university president stressed the important role of scientific and research centers in supporting the university's academic and research plans, emphasizing the necessity of developing postgraduate programs that serve society and meet international standards.
