Distribution of 1,500 Food Baskets to Orphans, Displaced Persons, & Social Care Centers in Capital Sana’a

Sana'a: The Head of the Social Affairs Committee at the Local Council of the Capital Secretariat, Hammoud Al-Naqeeb, today launched the distribution of 1,500 food baskets to orphanages, social care centers, and a number of displaced and poor families in Sana'a.

According to Yemen News Agency, the aid, provided by the Qatar Red Crescent, targeted care and rehabilitation homes for male and female orphans, social care centers including Al-Tawjeeh Al-Ijtimai (boys), Al-Rahma, Al-Shawkani, Al-Tufula, Jud Al-Rahman, Al-Amal, Al-Noor, Al-Salam for the Disabled, Al-Rufaqa, Al-Amal Hospital, Al-Shafaqa, in addition to families of displaced persons, the wounded, and the poor.

During the distribution at the Al-Rahma and Al-Shawkani orphan care institutions, attended by Judge Abdulrahman Al-Arjali, the Head of the Social Affairs Committee, Al-Naqeeb, expressed gratitude to the Qatar Red Crescent for this humanitarian gesture that addresses the most important needs of these social centers in the Capital Secretariat.

He affirmed the importance of implementing such charitable initiatives to support social care homes and centers in the Capital Secretariat, which house many deserving groups, to enable them to play their role in providing necessary care in all fields.

Al-Naqeeb called on all organizations to support and implement humanitarian projects and effectively contribute to meeting the needs of social care centers, providing full care to their residents, and paying attention to them, especially under the circumstances the country is going through due to the aggression.
