Sana’a: The Deaf Care and Rehabilitation Association in Capital Secretariat launched a project on Saturday to distribute uniforms and educational supplies to students of the Association’s Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the academic year 2024-2025.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Secretary General of the Association, Iyad Al-Wael, explained that the project is funded by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled and is in partnership with the National Union of Yemeni Disabled Associations. The initiative aims to support the educational process and alleviate the economic burden on the families of the students, thereby providing educational opportunities.
Al-Wael emphasized the association’s commitment to providing school bags and making continuous efforts to support education. He encouraged students to continue their education amidst challenging conditions, including aggression and blockade, expressing concern for the future of the hearing-impaired community. This support is intended to give students hope for their future.
Students expressed their gratitude to the association and the fund for their ongoing assistance and dedication to developing an educational environment that meets their needs. The inauguration event was attended by members of the association’s administrative and supervisory body, along with several parents of the students.
