Sana'a: Speaker of Parliament Yahya Al-Ra'i received on Monday the financial disclosure statement from Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Sheikh Abu Bakr, a member of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority. During the handover, which was attended by the Assistant Secretary-General of Parliament, Abdul Rahman Al-Mansour, the Speaker emphasized the importance of the Authority members' efforts and their resilience in the face of the challenges facing the country as a whole.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Speaker stressed the crucial role of the Supreme National Anti-Corruption Authority in safeguarding public funds as the responsible body, within the framework of cooperation, integrated performance, and the unification of efforts among oversight bodies within the constitutional authorities, in accordance with applicable laws. Yahya Ali Al-Ra'i expressed his appreciation for the Authority members' commitment to submitting their financial disclosure statements on time, considering it an important step in adhering to applicable laws, including the Financial Disclosure Law and the Anti-Corruption Law.
He emphasized the importance of strengthening oversight of all those holding public office and subject to relevant applicable laws, noting that adherence to these laws enhances efforts to protect public funds and bolsters public trust in state institutions.
