Hodeida: The National Women's Committee branch in the Hodeida governorate concluded a three-day training course on Monday, aimed at equipping 50 women from low-income families with skills in producing household detergents and disinfectants.
According to Yemen News Agency, the training provided participants with practical skills to manufacture various cleaning products in line with quality standards. This initiative is designed to enable the women to establish small income-generating projects, fostering economic independence.
At the closing ceremony, Fairoz Taher, Head of the National Women's Committee branch in Hodeida, highlighted the training as a key opportunity for the participants to move from dependency to self-reliance and productivity. She stressed that empowering women through vocational training is crucial for achieving economic stability among families. Taher also noted that the skills acquired could help supply local markets with quality and competitively priced products.
Iman Al-Dubaie, the Deputy Head of the National Women's Committee branch, reiterated the committee's dedication to implementing programs that cater to women's needs and alleviate living pressures. She encouraged the participants to utilize their newly acquired skills and take steps toward establishing their own small enterprises to secure sustainable livelihoods.
