Dmitriev: Energy Crisis Will Hit Britain and EU

Brussels: Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian Presidential Special Representative for Investment and Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, stated on Thursday that an energy crisis is inevitable for Britain and the European Union. This came in a post by Dmitriev on the "X" platform, monitored by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), in response to a user's comment about the rising popularity of the Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which he described as a "political earthquake." According to Yemen News Agency, Dmitriev replied, saying, "The situation will be worse, because the wave of the energy crisis will inevitably hit Britain and the European Union." Dmitriev had previously stated that "the world is approaching the biggest energy crisis in its history, without yet realizing its magnitude."
