Sana'a: The Academic Accreditation and Education Quality Assurance Council, in its first meeting chaired by Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, Dr. Hassan Al-Saadi, discussed the council's plans, tasks, and mandates for the upcoming period.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the meeting, which included the newly appointed council members as per the Cabinet's decision, the Minister of Education emphasized the importance of selecting a chairman for the council in accordance with the law. The members of the Academic Accreditation Council unanimously elected Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Matari as Chairman of the Council.
Minister Al-Saadi congratulated the Chairman and members of the council on earning this trust in line with the applicable regulations and laws, affirming that the Ministry will fully support them. He wished them success in their duties and responsibilities in the coming period. He stressed the importance of collective efforts and professional work based on scientific standards to fulfill the council's significant role in improving and evaluating the educational process in Yemeni universities.
The Minister underscored the necessity for the council to carry out its duties and mandates in accordance with the law and regulations while applying scientific standards. He also acknowledged the efforts of the previous council members and chairman, notably Dr. Ahmed Al-Haboub.
In turn, the newly elected Chairman of the Academic Accreditation Council, Dr. Al-Matari, expressed his gratitude to the council members. He highlighted the importance of teamwork and collaboration among members to help universities obtain local academic accreditation and prepare them for international accreditation.
