Al-bayda: The Affar Customs Center in Al-Bayda Governorate successfully thwarted two separate smuggling attempts involving cigarettes and electronic hookahs.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Director of the Affar Customs Center, Fahd Haza'a, reported that the first operation uncovered a stash of electronic hookahs concealed behind the front bumper of a passenger bus. In a second operation, a quantity of cigarettes was intercepted while being smuggled in a Toyota sedan.
Haza'a commended the customs officers and security forces for their vigilance and effective actions in detecting and seizing smuggled goods. He emphasized the center's commitment to confronting all forms of smuggling activities.
